ACCESSIBILITY
Boardmasters is located on Trebelsue Farm, just off the stunning coastline of Cornwall and overlooking the picturesque Watergate Bay. While beautiful, the terrain contains a lot of grassland and hilly areas which when the Cornish rain comes, can make access around the site difficult.
We endeavour to be a festival that everyone can enjoy, and to provide an event site which is as accessible as possible to everyone. The use of disabled access facilities is reserved solely for the use of permanently disabled customers and unfortunately not for those with broken legs, recent injuries and/ or pregnancies.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TICKETS
We offer a 2-for-1 scheme for ticket holders with disabilities that would be unable to attend without use of a personal assistant (PA). The following supporting evidence is required:
• Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility
• Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Evidence of being severely sight impaired
• CredAbility Access Card +1 category requirement
• A recognised Assistance Dog ID card
VIEWING PLATFORM ACCESS
At the Main Stage we have a viewing platform with a stewarded and accessible toilet located near the platform. In order to gain access to the viewing platform, you must apply for a Viewing Platform (VP) pass, which is to be requested when filling out the Viewing Platform Application below. This platform is reserved solely for our accessible customers + 1 of their guests or carers and unfortunately not for those with broken bones, recent injuries and/or pregnancies. To receive Viewing Platform wristbands, both parties need to have purchased a festival ticket - this isn’t the 2 for 1 carer scheme
We are working on getting viewing platforms at other stages, before the event you will be informed which stages have viewing platforms.
ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES
Accessible Toilets: There will be accessible toilets within the Main Arena and campsite.
Accessible showers: These will be available in the accessible campsite (FOC)
Accessible information points: Located in the main arena and Accessible campsite.
Assistance Dogs: We welcome any assistance dogs at Boardmasters.
Medical Services: We will publish site maps detailing medical service stations and first aid points before the event. You will be notified of this through our newsletter which you can sign up to at the bottom of this page. These will be located in both the Main Arena and Campsite. Please familiarise yourself with these locations beforehand.
Parking: Parking tickets are available online, with Blue badge holders not needing to buy a festival parking ticket but must register for disabled parking on the Access requirements form. The accessible carpark is limited so friends/ family arriving in separate vehicles will not be able to use this car park.
ACCESSIBLE CAMPSITE:
The accessible campsite is dedicated to deaf and disabled guests with it being one of the closet campsites to the main area and having its own car park, campervan area beside the campsite and designated entrance into the campsite meaning you don’t have to queue up at the main entrance and has its own car park, campervan field and entrance along with a dedicated team of stewards to make sure you have the best festival experience.
If being dropped off or coming by coach, you will be dropped off at blue gate and will have a short walk to the accessible campsite.
